TVB actress Yoyo Mung Ka-wai and fellow actor Chris Lai Lok-yi took a break from filming to attend the launch of Swiss watchmaker Tissot's latest Racing-Touch Carbon watch.
When asked about a report that she had broken down and cried after her singer-actor boyfriend, Ekin Cheng Yee-kin, refused to marry her, Mung shrugged it off with a laugh.
"I'm not at all worried about not getting married. I was actually more surprised when I read in the article that I had cried - I was in a public place, so that's out of the question," Mung said at the event at Harbour City on Monday.
Lai defended his good friend Cheng, saying that "getting a wedding certificate is not a must as long as they are happy together". But asked if he would be tying the knot any time soon with his girlfriend, he said he was looking forward to it and was working hard to save money for their big day.
Canto-pop singers Sherman Chung Shu-man and Adason Lo Lik-wai were also at the event modelling the timepieces. Chung, who has just held a show of her paintings, gave Lo tips on how to pose like a pro.
Lo looked a bit stiff, even though he claimed he had prepared by studying pictures of others modelling watches. Maybe the singer-songwriter is better off sticking to what he does best.
