Janice Man Wing-shan tells why she'd never try those Kunming bugs

Model-turned-actress Janice Man Wing-shan has just returned from filming on location in Kunming . She said she enjoyed the nice weather, which put her in a happy mood, but was not so fond of the snacks the locals ate.

"They love eating bugs and there are so many types of them," she said. "They offered them to me as if they were a delicacy - I'd die before trying anything like that."

Asked if she would eat such food if a movie role warranted it, however, she said it would have to be a very exceptional part.

Man attended the preview of Italian-Japanese fashion brand Anteprima's autumn-winter collection on Wednesday at its new concept store in Causeway Bay's Lee Gardens. The collection emphasised gold and metallic colours.

Also at the preview were singer-actress Joey Yung Cho-yee and model Marie Zhuge Ziqi, both wearing items from the collection. Yung was asked if she felt embarrassed to be appearing at the same event as Man, who was once rumoured to have dated her boyfriend, Wilfred Lau Ho-lung.

"Why should I? I didn't even know about [the rumours]. I'm no reporter - I don't go digging around asking questions or keeping tabs on who's with who," Yung snapped.

It wasn't the usual cheerful Yung we're so used to seeing. Perhaps the fact that her new movie, , isn't doing very well had something to do with it.
