Martell launches Chanteloup Perspective cognac at Four Seasons
French brand Martell hosted a dinner in the ballroom of the Four Seasons hotel to introduce its new Chanteloup Perspective - a premium-grade cognac that takes its name from the family's estate. Guests including award-winning actors Francis Ng Chun-yu, Natalis Chan Pak-cheung and Cecilia Yip Tung savoured a specially created cognac-pairing menu.
During the dinner, the crowd was wowed by a 3-D projection of the Chanteloup estate, demonstrating the brand's history and heritage. Emerging soprano Joyce Wong, mezzo-soprano Carol Lim and tenor Felix Suen performed an excerpt from Verdi's La Traviata, much to the delight of guests.
Xavier Beysecker, managing director of Martell's Hong Kong distributor, Pernod Ricard, said the launch offered local cognac fans an insight into the secret cellars of the chateau.
"It symbolises heritage and legacy in cognac making, and opening a bottle is like opening a doorway into our past and to our future at the same time."
