Fratelli Rossetti exhibits heritage shoe collection at IFC mall

Italian shoemaker Fratelli Rossetti showed a range of antique and ethnic shoes from brand founder Renzo Rossetti's personal collection in its boutique at Central's IFC mall.

The Museum Shoe exhibition featuring 31 pieces from the brand's archive opened last Wednesday and will run until October 24 before it moves to Shanghai. The range includes the first pair of sport shoes created by the founder, as well as the first pair of men's shoes featuring tassel details.

The opening cocktail party was attended by celebrities including actor Shawn Yue Man-lok, model-actress Janice Man Wing-shan as well as socialites Leonard and Candice Chao.

Fratelli Rossetti's managing partners Diego and Luca Rossetti flew in from Italy for the event.

The Rossetti brothers admitted that they had been "jealously guarding" their historical pieces and only decided to share their heritage when they realised some prototype models were part of Italian costume history.
