Luxury watch brand IWC Schaffhausen celebrated the grand opening of its new boutique in Pacific Place mall on Thursday night with a party attended by a string of celebrity dandies.

Veteran actors such as Julian Cheung Chi-lam, Francis Ng Chun-yu, Michael Wong Man-tak, Shawn Yue Man-lok and singer-song writer Hanjin Tan turned out in support. To coincide with the store opening, an exhibition of historic and contemporary models of IWC's iconic pilot's watches was set up at the store.

"The exhibition tells the story of my very first IWC timepiece," said Cheung.

Vintage models made in the 1930s from the brand's archive were shipped to Hong Kong especially for the event, including the Big Pilot's Watch from 1940, the biggest wristwatch ever manufactured, as well as a 1948 model built for the Royal Air Force.

The exhibition runs until Sunday at the atrium of the mall.
