HK$787,000 haul for Mid-Levels burglars

Burglars escaped with cash and valuables worth HK$787,000 after ransacking three flats at All Fit Garden in Bonham Road, Mid-Levels, on Saturday night. The thieves climbed into the flats from scaffolding.


New six-hour meeting on old-age allowance

The government has asked the chairman of the Legislative Council's Finance Committee, Tommy Cheung Yu-yan, to hold another six-hour meeting on Friday to scrutinise funding for the proposed means-tested old-age living allowance.


Unions recommend pay rises of 6pc

Woman dies after fall in country park

A 40-year-old woman died in hospital of head injuries she suffered in a fall into a stream during an excursion in Ma On Shan Country Park.
