HK man runner-up in Santa of the Year

Hong Kong magician Rainbow Ho Wing-leong, 20, just missed out on being crowned Santa of the Year after competing in the five events of the Santa Winter Games in Gallivare in Lapland, Sweden, on Saturday. He came second behind a Dutch Santa. Hongkonger Jimmy Chan won the crown in 2009.

Falling cabin pressure diverts Cathay flight

Cathay Pacific said its flight CX 882 from Hong Kong to Los Angeles was diverted to Anchorage on Thursday after experiencing a slow drop in cabin pressure. Oxygen masks were deployed and there were no injuries among the 288 passengers and 18 crew.

Two workers in critical condition after blast

Two workers were in a critical condition last night after being injured in an explosion at 2pm while laying underground power cables outside the Hospital Authority building in Argyle Street, Kowloon City.
