A security guard in  was arrested for allegedly murdering his ex-girlfriend and attempting to kill a colleague, who was attacked with a chopper at Coastal Skyline. The guard, 30, was arrested shortly after at the site. Officers found the body of the 24-year-old woman, who had multiple knife wounds, in a flat in Kui Wo House, Tai Wo Estate, Tai Po. Police believe the three were involved in a love triangle.

The brothers who run the Fook Lam Moon restaurants signed an out-of-court settlement, a source close to the family said. It means that shareholder and director Chui Pui-kun, fifth son of founder Chui Fook-chuen, and seventh son, Chui Wai-kwan, finally ended their dispute over control of the company.

More than 61 per cent of 350 businesspeople questioned believe the economy will grow 2-4 per cent next year, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce says in its Annual Business Prospects survey. The results matched its own forecast.
