Police recruitment drive attracts 1,700

Police held a recruitment day in Wan Chai for applicants interested in becoming probationary inspectors or recruit police constables. The event attracted about 1,700 interested people.


Thieves take goods worth HK$600,000

Ten men tied up two guards, locked them in a room and robbed a recycling plant at Fung Kong Tsuen, Tin Shui Wai. The thieves took 10 boxes and 10 bags of electronic parts worth about HK$600,000, a mobile phone and some cash.


Ko calls for prompt action on blunders

Food and Health Secretary Dr Ko Wing-man called on medical staff to report accidents involving test samples immediately. He was speaking after a bag of 17 blood samples from 13 patients in Kwong Wah Hospital was dropped into a lift shaft when being transported last week The staff reported the case only the following day.
