Failed gambler leaps from Macau bridge

A 22-year-old man who lost 20,000 patacas in a Macau casino grabbed a single chip, fled the building and jumped off the Macau-Taipa Bridge. Customs officers found him in the water and arrested him.

Raid on factory recycling 'gutter oil'

Hygiene and fire officers broke into a factory unit in Kwai Chung reportedly recycling "gutter oil" for use in restaurants, but no one was inside. The oil was reportedly being supplied to a dozen restaurants.

Thief flees shop with US$50,000 in jewels

A man escaped with jewellery worth US$50,000 from a shop in Central after asking to browse through several boxes.
