A fresh water pipe burst beneath Tin Lok Lane, Wan Chai yesterday leaving shops and households without water. The pipe, which was 21cm in diameter, burst at about 5pm. The busy junction of Tin Lok Lane and Hennessy Road was under 15cm of water. Parts of the roads were closed briefly. A pipe in North Point also burst at 4am yesterday.

Police are looking for the family of a newborn girl, found abandoned in Happy Valley. The baby was wrapped in towels and clothes outside St Margaret's Church on Broadwood Road. Officers believe she is South Asian but found no identity documents on her. Police urge anyone who knows about her to call 3660 7567 or 2835 5200.
