An online video released by Ocean Park on Monday shows the moment baby penguins come to life, as 15 fertilised eggs kept at the theme park begin to hatch.

The park released the video on its homepage, YouTube and Facebook at 3pm on Monday.

It is the last of a six-part series introducing the daily life of animals at the park.

The video shows how park handlers conduct body checks on newly born penguins to make sure they are healthy.

The 15 penguin chicks are from fertilised eggs that hatched last March.
