His hands bandaged, the alleged accomplice of a teenager accused of stabbing his father to death made his first court appearance yesterday.
Chan Ming-tin, 19, who was escorted by police officers to Tuen Mun Magistrates' Court, is jointly charged with 18-year-old Ian Fok Lap-yin of murdering Fok Lai-chi and causing grievous bodily harm with intent to commit murder to his friend's stepmother Irene Fok.
She remains in a serious condition in hospital with stab wounds.
Listening to the charges in the dock yesterday, the young security guard had bandages on both of his hands.
No plea was entered.
Acting Principal Magistrate Li Wai-chi granted the prosecution's request to adjourn Chan's case until April 2. The prosecution said police needed time to hold an identification parade.
