A lawyer was placed on a one-year good behaviour bond after he hit a cab driver in the back of the head three times in Central.

Duncan Jepson, 43, was bound over for HK$1,000 in Eastern Court yesterday after prosecutors withdrew one count of common assault against him.

On January 5, Jepson, who is also an award-winning director and producer of five feature films, hailed Leung Tsz-ming's taxi with his wife at Lan Kwai Fong, the court heard. When they reached Conduit Road, he shouted at Leung and attacked him. Leung tried to dodge and pulled a muscle in his chest. He was treated at Queen Mary Hospital.
