Man killed in suspected murder in Kai Tak housing estate

A man was killed in a suspected shooting case in a public housing estate at Kai Tak.

The man, 43, was found unconscious last night in Lok Ching House, Kai Ching Estate. He had been shot in the chest, and was declared dead after being taken to hospital. Police found three bullet shells at the scene, beliving to have come from a 7.62mm calibre gun. The incident was treated as a murder case.

Around 11pm last night, a resident from 21/F, Lok Ching House in Kai Ching Estate reported to have heard three loud noises, and found the victim lying unconscious in the lift lobby upon investigation. 

Police said the victim was an air-conditioner technician and lived alone in Lok Ching House. There was no property loss at the scene.
