The actress daughter of Kowloon Bay gunman Li Tak-yan has been accused of coming between Hong Kong director Oxide Pang Chun and his actress wife.
Soon after photos and videos showing Liddy Li, 27, and Pang, 49, hugging and kissing at a mall took flight online, the model deleted all her posts on social network Weibo. She also did not comment on the shooting over the weekend, in which her 51-year-old father apparently killed a neighbour and himself at Lok Ching House, Kai Ching Estate.
Hunan-born Li was given the name Li Ting at birth. She took the name Liddy after entering show business in 2009. She has played a number of supporting roles in TVB dramas and films, including the 2012 comedy Lan Kwai Fong 2.
Her parents divorced in 2010 after her father's Hong Kong-mainland trade business went downhill, according to reports submitted to the court that convicted him two years ago of attacking a neighbour. She lived with her mother and younger sister in a Tsing Yi flat.
Li's rendezvous with Pang took place at the Elements shopping mall in West Kowloon late last month. The story dominated the front pages of the city's entertainment newspapers and magazines. Pang is married to Malaysian actress Angelica Lee Sinje.
Soon after the incident, Pang and Lee, 38, posted a statement on their social media platforms.
