Public transport continued to face severe disruption for a second day as pro-democracy activists blocked main roads on Hong Kong Island and in Mong Kok.
KMB, the city’s largest franchised bus operator, said: “As coordinated by the Transport Department, 38 KMB routes have been suspended from service, including 16 harbour crossing routes and 13 routes observing Kowloon and the New Territories.”
The cross harbour routes that were suspended are: 101,103, 104, 108, 109, 111, 113, 115, 117, 182, 103P, 111P, 115P, 301, 305, 603S.City Bus and New Bus, which mainly operate on Hong Kong Island, meanwhile, said 38 bus routes were suspended today: 1, 3A, 3B, 5C, 5P, 5S, 5X, 6A, 12, 12A, 12M, 13, 15C, 18P, 18X, 23, 23B, 26, 66, 101, 101X, 103, 103P, 104, 109, 111, 111P, 113, 115, 115P, 182, 301, 305, 590A, 629A, 629S, H1, H2.
The transport department has said more than 20 minibus routes have been altered or suspended.
MTR trains are running as normal, although some station entrances have been closed.
