Filipino actress Kim Chiu hospitalised for three days during Christmas holiday in Hong Kong
The 26-year-old star from the Philippines visited Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park while in the city
Filipino actress and model Kim Chiu flew to Hong Kong with her family to celebrate the festive season, but her vacation lost some of its Christmas cheer after an allergic reaction sent her to the hospital for three days.
Chiu, who recently starred in the hit romantic drama The Story of Us, told fans late on Wednesday that she had spent three days in the hospital after something she ate triggered an allergic reaction.
“Spent my day 3 at the hospital today!” she wrote in an Instagram post. “[Tomorrow] is a better day!”
“Allergies all over my body!” she had tweeted on Tuesday.
But the 26-year-old actress seemingly continued to enjoy her time in the city, posting photos of herself on Instagram at Ocean Park on Thursday afternoon looking at animals and riding the roller coaster ride, “The Dragon”.
Earlier on during her trip, Chiu also visited Hong Kong Disneyland with her niece, while posing with various Disney characters.
Chiu’s trip comes ahead of her upcoming soap opera series Ikaw Lang ang libigin, due in 2017 on ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ biggest entertainment and media conglomerate.
The actress was born in the south-eastern Chinese city of Xiamen, and has become a rising star in the Philippines. She previously won the award for “Princess of Philippine Movies and TV,” starred in several high-profile Filipino films, and has released two albums.
