Update | The winning numbers: Mark Six results announced after lottery fever engulfs Hong Kong
Long queues form across city to place bets for one of the city’s largest lottery offerings in four decades

Lottery fever gripped Hong Kong as people formed long queues outside Jockey Club betting centres, hoping to win more than HK$100 million in Tuesday’s Mark Six draw.
Five punters ended up sharing the first prize, each winning HK$27 million.
Winning numbers:
30, 21, 11, 16, 19, 33, 31
The HK$136 million jackpot was one of the biggest in Mark Six history as the lottery celebrated its 40th anniversary.
Hundreds of punters flocked to the Jockey Club outlet on Stanley Street in Central, considered a “lucky” betting centre after it sold more than 40 winning tickets for previous big draws. Many of the hopefuls in the queue were senior citizens who turned up early.
“I’m coming here with my wife to buy tickets as news reports mentioned yesterday that this branch would bring people good luck,”said 70-year-old Sunny Fung, a retiree and veteran Mark Six punter.
“If I’m lucky enough to win the big draw, I will donate much of my winnings to charity, just like foreign millionaires.”
He said he had previously won only small prizes amounting to several hundred dollars.
