Six prizes for Post at elite media event
Journalists honoured for coverage of Occupy protests and Beijing's crackdown on corruption

The South China Morning Post was recognised at the prestigious WAN-IFRA Asian Media Awards in Bangkok last night, collecting six prizes for its work in print, online and in marketing over the past 12 months.
The company bagged top awards in the breaking news category for its unrivalled print and digital coverage of last year's Occupy Central protests and for a series of exclusive stories on the unprecedented crackdown on the massive flow of illicit funds through Macau casinos as part of Beijing's anti-corruption drive.
Staff on the newspaper's print and digital editions were recognised for their acclaimed coverage of Occupy Central with a Breaking News: Silver award, while senior editor Niall Fraser picked up Gold Breaking News Award for his exclusive articles detailing Beijing's moves to crack down on corruption and money laundering in the Macau casino industry
At the awards dinner in the Thai capital, the Post also won Silver awards in the categories of both Newspaper Overall Design and Magazine Overall Design - for Post Magazine.
SCMP Hearst Publications won a Gold award for Magazine Overall Design.
Competition was fierce, with Asia's top news publishers from 16 countries submitting entries.
