In pictures: Hong Kong photographer Vincent Yu zooms in on ‘Nine Lives’
Vincent Yu is one of the most acclaimed Hong Kong-born photojournalists, with a news and documentary photography career spanning three decades.
During his career Yu has covered some of the most important and historic news events across the Asia-Pacific region. Yu is known for capturing personality in his photographs, which are often taken during extraordinary times in the subjects lives.
Yu’s exhibition Nine Lives – which opens at Hong Kong’s Fringe Club on Friday – showcases images from nine key assignments Yu undertook for Associated Press.
The images also make up the book Hong Kong/China photographers nine.
It is the ninth part of a photo book series published by Hong Kong-based Asia One Books that feature works from the city’s most esteemed photographers across different genres.
