Don’t fret, Hong Kong: city to get warm spell between cold periods over next seven days
Warm spell expected to reach 21 degrees on Thursday
Hongkongers woke up to a dreary Monday morning with cloudy skies and light drizzle to start off the week, but the city is expected to get a brief reprieve from the chilly temperatures before even colder weather arrives at the weekend.
“Under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the weather will remain cool with a few rain patches over the coast of Guangdong [province] today and tomorrow,” the Observatory said.
Temperatures were expected to range between 14 and 17 degrees Celsius today.
A brief period of warmer and drier days during the week is expected as temperatures rise to 21 degrees on Thursday, before dropping to as low as 12 degrees at the weekend.
“It will become cold progressively over the region,” the forecaster said. “The temperature difference between day and night will be relatively large.”
