Mystery as unidentified woman in her 30s found dead by worker at Mong Kok construction site

An unidentified woman in her 30s was found dead at a construction site in Mong Kok, Hong Kong, today.

The woman was discovered next to an excavator at the Portland Street site, near the junction with Dundas Street, by a male construction worker who showed up for work shortly before 8.30am.

She was declared dead by paramedics at the scene, according to police.

Her identity had not yet been established. A police spokeswoman said no identification documents could be found.

“The woman is thought to be aged between 30 and 40. There is a tattoo on her right shoulder,” the spokeswoman said.

“She was wearing an orange and white vest and blue shorts when found.”
