Seven Hong Kong firemen to be suspended over sexual assault allegations
Fire chief and security minister vow action on bullying and zero tolerance to rule-breaking after fireman calls in police over colleagues

Seven firemen accused of sexually assaulting a colleague in a Hong Kong fire station would be suspended from duty, Director of Fire Services David Lai Man-hin said in Beijing today.
Stressing that the department had zero tolerance for any breaches of its rules, he said the suspension would start tomorrow.
Secretary for Security Lai Tung-kwok, who is also in Beijing, said that it was an “isolated” case and the government would not tolerate any uncivilised acts.
Both said it was inappropriate to comment on the case as the police were investigating.
Detectives from Kowloon West regional crime unit have launched a criminal investigation after a fireman lodged a complaint to the police earlier this week.
