15 people injured in Hong Kong collision between coach and minibus

Fifteen people were injured in a collision between a coach and a minibus in Hong Kong this morning, according to police.

Fifteen people were injured in a collision between a coach and a minibus in Hong Kong this morning, according to police.

The minibus, which was carrying elderly people to a day care centre mounted the pavement and slammed into a lamppost after the collision outside Amoy Gardens on Ngau Tau Kok Road, Kowloon Bay at about 9.15am.

“Initial investigation showed 12 passengers from the minibus and the driver and one passenger of the coach were injured,” a police spokesman said.

All the injured were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei for treatment.

Officers from Kowloon East traffic unit are investigating.
