Hong Kong man, 41, admits taking indecent photographs and molesting girl, 13, at Mong Kok guest house

A mother was glancing through her 13-year-old daughter's diary when she accidentally discovered the child had been molested and nude photographs of her taken during a private session at a Mong Kok guest house in May, the District Court heard on Monday.

On questioning the girl, she found out she had come to know the "photographer" via a model advertisement on the internet, the court heard.

At the guest house, the girl was asked to take off all her clothes in the room and to lie on the bed for Ipp Tin-fan to take pictures.

"During the shooting, [Ipp] started to hug, kiss and touch her body," prosecutor Diane Crebbin said.

He also touched her breasts and private parts, and requested oral sex but she refused, Crebbin told the court.

Computer repairman Ipp, 41, pleaded guilty to one count of making child pornography and one of indecent assault.

Crebbin said the girl contacted Ipp in response to an advert looking for a part-time model at a private modelling agency.

Ipp told her the job required her to be naked and would pay her HK$1,400. In the course of their conversation, he learned she was under 16.

They arranged to meet on May 6 at Prince Edward MTR station, where he took her to rent a room at a guest house in Nullah Road.

They were together alone in the room for one hour. The girl later received the money from Ipp and left.

Her narrative of this experience in her diary was discovered by her mother on May 12. Ipp was arrested three days later. He admitted using his mobile phone to take 64 pictures and four videos of the girl, including close-ups of her private parts, that day.

Judge Sham Siu-man adjourned sentencing to December 11 to await Ipp's psychologist report.
