Alleged Hong Kong triad leader punched in face at Peninsula hotel while having tea
Police looking for suspect and motive in the attack on Kwok Wing-hung

A controversial businessman was believed to have been injured in an attack while having afternoon tea at a five-star hotel on Sunday but denied his injuries were caused by the assault.
Alleged triad faction boss Kwok Wing-hung, 57, was in the ground-floor café in The Peninsula Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui at about 5.15pm when a man approached him and allegedly punched him in the face.
The victim, also known as “Shanghai Boy”, sustained facial injuries and sought medical attention at a private hospital.
Police classified the case as “assault occasioning actual bodily harm”. The Yau Tsim district anti-triad squad is investigating. So far, no arrest has been made.

Flanked by several associates and sporting a sticking plaster on the right side of his face, Kwok told the media as he was leaving Sanatorium Hospital in Happy Valley at about 2am yesterday that he was in good shape and denied his injuries were caused by the attack.
