Teacher who claimed he molested his daughter after mistaking her for his wife jailed
The man repeatedly touched the nine year old while his wife was away
An expat teacher who claimed he molested his nine-year-old daughter because he mistook her for his wife was jailed for two and a half years by the District Court on Thursday.
Judge Pang Chung-ping called the hour-long attack a “disgusting and despicable act” as he condemned the man for breaching his wife and daughter’s trust.
“His daughter trusted, loved and depended on him but ... he continued in this disgusting and despicable act until she asked him to stop,” the judge said. “He destructed his own life, he will lose contact with his daughter for a long time.”
Pang convicted the expatriate, 59, on Monday on three counts of indecent assault for touching the girl’s breasts and genitals on three occasions on July 22 last year.
The man’s name was not disclosed in open court to protect the identity of the girl, X, who was nine years old at the time of the crime.
He had a clear criminal record.
