A car jockey died in hospital yesterday about 13 hours after he was brutally beaten and knocked unconscious by at least two suspected triad members in Kowloon City.

In a video taken by a witness, the 35-year-old man working for restaurants near the junction of Prince Edward Road West and South Wall Road was seen being assaulted in a stairwell by two men at about 7.30pm on Sunday.

One of the attackers punched him in the face nine times in 12 seconds, while the other pinned him against the wall.

The victim was unable to defend himself and was seen losing consciousness and falling to the floor.

One of the attackers was seen kicking him as he lay on the ground.

Both men then left the site at a normal walking pace. Their faces were captured clearly in the clip.
