Police search for suspect after knife attack on Hong Kong man
Victim was taken to hospital with arm and back injuries
Police are searching for a male suspect in connection with a knife attack on a 26-year-old man in North Point on Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called when the victim was attacked by an assailant outside AIA Tower at the junction of Oil Street and Electric Road shortly after 11am.
A witness told reporters that the victim was found sitting on the floor at the junction. A female passer-by used a scarf to bandage his wounds before paramedics arrived.
The victim suffered arm and back injuries and was taken conscious to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, a police spokesman said.
A team of officers from the Police Tactical Unit was called in to join a search for the attacker.
Crime-squad officers from Eastern police district are investigating.
