Hong Kong boy and girlfriend, both 14, arrested after abortion
Form Two pupil is suspected of having unlawful sexual intercourse with her, and both thought to have administered drug to terminate the pregnancy
Police arrested a boy and his girlfriend, both 14, on Thursday night after she had an abortion at her home in Aberdeen.
On Thursday, the girl, a Form Three pupil, complained of feeling unwell hours after the abortion and was sent to the Queen Mary Hospital for treatment. Her mother, 34, called police at about 8.15pm that evening after learning she had an abortion.
Initial investigations showed the fetus had been disposed of on the seaside of a public housing estate in Aberdeen, a police source said.
Police said the young lovers were suspected to have had sex last year.
After realising she was pregnant, the girl took herbal medicine on Wednesday, and had an abortion at her home in Wah Kwai Estate the next day, the source said.
