Woman in Hong Kong arrested after stun gun robbery attempt

Staff held at gunpoint in Tseung Kwan O convenience store

A middle-aged woman was arrested early on Sunday morning after allegedly pulling a stun gun during an early morning hold up at a shop in Tseung Kwan O.

A customer at the Circle K on Kin Ming Estate called police just after 5.40am.

Officers said that when they arrived, they found the suspect holding the shop’s terrified workers at gunpoint. They eventually forced the suspect to hand over the stun gun.

A police spokeswoman said no one was hurt in the hold-up and nothing was stolen from the store, in Choi Ming Shopping Centre, near Tiu Keng Leng MTR station.

A 49-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possessing arms or ammunition without a licence.
