Passengers and driver sustain minor injuries after double-decker crashes into back of broken down bus on Thursday morning

Twenty people were injured in a crash between two double-decker buses in Tai Lam Tunnel in Tsuen Wan on Thursday morning.

According to police, the incident happened shortly after one of the buses broke down in the Tsuen Wan-bound tunnel shortly after 6.30am.

“The other bus then rammed into the back of the [broken-down] vehicle,” a police spokeswoman said.

She said 19 passengers from two buses and one of the drivers sustained minor injuries in the incident.

They were taken conscious to Yan Chai Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment.
