Firefighters broke into a Hong Kong public housing flat in response to a report of a bad smell and found the bodies of a disabled man, 33, and woman, 38, police said on Monday.
Emergency personnel were called to Yat Sin House, in Upper Wong Tai Sin Estate, at 11.42am, after a security guard detected a bad smell coming from a ninth-floor flat and called police.
“Firefighters broke into the flat and found a man and a woman dead inside,” a police spokeswoman said.

A police source said no superficial injuries were found on the bodies and there was no burnt charcoal at the scene which could have indicated suicide.
He said neighbours had complained of an odd smell coming from the flat over the past two days.
