WELLINGTON - New Zealand Prime Minister John Key yesterday ordered an inquiry into government agents spying "unlawfully" while assisting police in the lead up to the arrest of Megaupload boss, Kim Dotcom. Key said a memorandum had also been filed in the High Court dealing with the Megaupload case advising that the bureau "had acted unlawfully while assisting the police" to locate people subject to arrest warrants issued in the case. Dotcom is fighting extradition to the US after being arrested in January by New Zealand police co-operating with a US investigation. AFP

PRAGUE - Police have arrested two people suspected in a wave of methanol poisoning that has killed at least 25 people in the Czech Republic in the past two weeks. State prosecutor Roman Kafka said the two are suspected of producing a "brutal blend" of toxic methanol with alcohol, even though they knew it could seriously threaten those who drank it. Kafka said the two were working at a plant that uses methanol to produce windshield washer fluid. He said money was the motivation. AP
