If William and Kate did conceive in Asia, will they follow Victoria Beckham and name the child after the place of conception?
Other celebrities have named their children after geographical locations.
Gwen Stefani's youngest son, Zuma, is named after Zuma Beach, California. Actor Chris Hemsworth named his firstborn India Rose after the country he admires. Mariah Carey named one of her twins Morocco, while Alicia Keys named her son Egypt.
But bookmakers in Britain have taken a more traditional view: the royal couple will name their baby after a relative, with the prince's late mother Diana among the early front-runners.
Betting chains were offering odds on a whole range of markets, from the baby's name to its sex, weight, godparents, hair colour and even the time and day of birth. The baby will be third in line to inherit the throne.
The William Hill firm places early odds of 10/1 on Charles, George and Victoria 10/1, followed by Anne, Diana, Philip, Richard and Spencer at 12/1 and Henry, Mary and Sarah at 14/1.
Elizabeth and William are both 16/1, while Catherine is 20/1. Less regal-sounding names like Kevin, Wayne and Sharon all come in at 250/1.
Irish bookmakers Paddy Power have Mary, Victoria and John at 8/1, followed by Diana and Frances at 9/1, then Philip, Anne, Charles and George at 10/1.
