President Barack Obama is voting by post and casts his ballot today, more than a week before the November 6 election, to give himself more time for last-minute campaigning in the crucial swing states.
 

Economic data for South Korea is likely to make dismal reading, with the country's central bank already warning that growth has slowed. Gross domestic product figures for the third quarter are expected to show that growth slowed to 1.8 per cent from 2.3 per cent in the second quarter. Some economists fear the economy could have contracted in the three months to September 30.
 

A mentally ill performer known as "the Nicholas Tse of Victoria Park" will learn his fate after he was convicted of indecently assaulting a model during a live show. Lam, who got his nickname when his resemblance to the Hong Kong singer-actor was noticed as he spoke at a forum in Victoria Park, only increased his infamy when he brought a stuffed toy to court and then had two cameras confiscated during the hearing.
