Ninety-year-old philanthropist Yu Pang-lin, owner of the former home of martial arts master Bruce Lee, said yesterday he wanted to see the house turned into a memorial to Lee before he died. He also said he would only rent, not sell, the land on which it stood. The Town Planning Board rejected Yu's plan to build two floors under the Kowloon Tong house for exhibitions.

The fact that all four new cases of a coronavirus announced by the World Health Organisation on Friday were from the Middle East meant the city had to step up observation of arrivals from that region, University of Hong Kong microbiologist Yuen Kwok-yung said. Yuen said there was no evidence the virus could spread among people.
