CY Leung says Hong Kong's connections can help pan-Pearl River Delta develop

Hong Kong has a wide network of global connections that can support provinces in the pan-Pearl River Delta across southern China link up with the rest of the world, Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying says.
The grouping comprises the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau plus the provinces of Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan, Hunan, Jiangxi and Guangxi.
Leung contributed the article after attending the two-day Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Co-operation and Development Forum in Hainan.
He writes that mainland companies that intend to expand overseas can seek professional advice from the more than 70 foreign law firms in Hong Kong, which have the advantage of being conversant with the laws of their respective countries.
He said only by achieving relatively high and sustainable economic growth could the government solve the city's problems.
