Out of My Closet: Luisa Fietta

Luisa Fietta is one of those rare women who oozes style in a pair of denim jeans, white T-shirt and a chunky necklace. "You can be glamorous with simple things - it's all about attitude," says Fietta, the general manager of Pedder Red in Hong Kong.

And attitude is something she has in spades. "As for fashion, it's all about being myself. The priority when shopping for clothes is colour - winter for me is the death season, I just feel so depressed. Summer is when I go crazy. Everything has to be colourful."
Fietta's penchant for colour is expressed not just through her accessories but also her body, from her violet-tinged hair - "I do it myself, it's been blue and bright pink" - to her tattooed arms bursting with peach blossom, roses and butterflies.
Her wardrobe pops with colour, not patterns but blocks, and the clean lines of Martin Margiela ("my first love with a designer"), Helmut Lang and Phillip Lim. She has a weakness for accessories, especially necklaces and glasses. "I have 80 pairs of glasses - both prescription and sunglasses. They are my obsession. I love everything vintage. I adore these sunglasses from Krizia, an Italian brand from the 1960s. I got them in Hong Kong and cleaned them up."
