Asian Cup to showcase top players in Hong Kong
Local aces Tie Yana and Jiang Huajun can shine in the event that will feature world-class players

The Asian Cup will return to Hong Kong next month after a break of 21 years, affording fans a treat of top-class table tennis.
Although only a regional tournament, the standard of display in the Cup is pretty much on a par with a world-level competition as Asia features most of the best players, especially in the women's competition.
The Asian Cup will feature the top 16 men's and women's singles players in the region, who will be vying for US$100,000 in prize money. Each country will be allowed to send a maximum of two players in each category.
Hong Kong's Jiang Tianyi and Tang Peng as well as women's players Tie Yana and Jiang Huajun, have all qualified by virtue of their world rankings for the three-day tournament to be held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai from April 12.
