Residents battle through a snowstorm in Weihai yesterday, the third major storm to hit the coastal city in Shandong province this winter. Yantai has also been badly hit by the harsh weather. The Yantai weather bureau said 28mm of snow fell in the city on Tuesday night while Weihai was blanketed by a 35mm fall. The snowfalls, the heaviest in more than five decades, have disrupted day-to-day life, and Yantai's schools were closed yesterday.
