Sparkling concept of interior design

The sparkly stuff might have been on show at a Swarovski party on Wednesday - which was notable for walls that split Cusine Cuisine's space into four private viewing rooms - but equally blingy was the first anniversary of Louise Kou's lifestyle shop Kou Concept the same night.

The society gals and their Savile Row-suited gentlemen friends were treated to a display of several local designers, including Versha Sani's swimwear, Angelina Sadhwani's Chantille jewellery and jeans by Indigo. However, the centre of attention remained Kou and her fab boudoir lab. 'I'm an interior designer so a lot of clients ask me for ideas for their home,' Kou (left) says of her penthouse space in Connaught Road's Fung House. 'They would ask me for a total look; every kind of decoration. I go on trips three times a year to source interesting things. The first year of Kou Concept has been much better than I expected, considering a lot of people still don't know about us. But I'm not a department store. I can't satisfy everybody so everything here represents what I like.'
