The David Ferraris-trained flagship horse, St Didar, raised the stable colours once again, dominating a hotly contested all-weather track race in equally hot temperatures.

St Didar notched his fourth win for the season - the 19th for Ferraris this term - after Weichong Marwing positioned the four-year-old beautifully behind early pacesetters Amedeo and Loads Of Joy.

It was the first victory for Marwing since he returned from a recent shoulder injury, a niggling complaint which the South African rider is still having treated through physiotherapy and acupuncture.

'St Didar has been a handy little chap and a real revelation on the dirt track,' Ferraris (pictured) said.

'He really has carried the flag for the stable this season and Marwing rated him perfectly behind a genuine speed that he really relished.'

St Didar surged to the lead in the straight and held off the fast-finishing Flying China by a comfortable 23/4 lengths, with Loads Of Joy staying on for third.
