About a dozen protesters gathered outside the Japanese embassy in Beijing chanting, “Japan, get out of China”, after China dispatched two patrol ships to “assert its sovereignty” over the Diaoyu Islands on Tuesday, as Tokyo completed its purchase of the disputed territory. Demonstrators also gathered outside the Japanese consulate in Hong Kong.
