School without borders, July 26

Education knows no boundaries when it comes to the 13,000 children who cross from the mainland into Hong Kong each day via Lok Ma Chau, Man Kam To, Sha Tau Kok and Shenzhen Bay. Some Hongkongers may complain that the children are putting pressure on school resources, especially in Northern district, forcing them to send their children elsewhere. But the criticism doesn't diminish the enthusiasm of the youngsters, who rush for the turnstiles or patiently line up to catch a bus to and from their mainland homes. The children were either born in Hong Kong to mainland parents or living in Shenzhen with Hong Kong parents.
