Learn to reintegrate in Cuba, November 21

21 Nov 2013

Education expenditure in Cuba receives high priority. According to Unesco, Cuba spends 10 per cent of its central budget on education while the US only spends 2 per cent. This includes spending on students with learning disabilities, antisocial disorders and criminal records. Youngsters between 12 and 16 years old with conduct disorders or who have committed offences, receive secondary schooling, trade and arts lessons at the School of Integral Education (EFI) to help them reintegrate into society.
