Blue skies mark Chinese New Year in Beijing, February 4

Residents in Beijing have finally seen blue skies and buildings unobscured by fog during the Chinese New Year, after a cold front coming in from the north helped to blow away some of the smog. Despite the bright sun. the weather remained between minus 2 to minus 8 degrees. The rare blue skies were photographed and posted by Beijing residents on their weibo accounts.
