Their wares were hardly fashionable in these days of fast fashion and more cashed-up consumers. But the stalls at the Mut Wah Street market in Kwun Tong had faithfully served the needs of its working class customers for 37 years. But progress marches on, and for the 100-odd stallholders, that means pulling up stakes and moving. Not everyone is happy, but trading will eventually resume at a nearby site. Now the derelict site awaits the bulldozers. Photographer Nora Tam caught a slice of a disappearing way of life.
