It was some of the heaviest rainfall to hit the south of China in years. Huge downpours on Thursday and Sunday hit Shenzhen and Hong Kong hard with train services and flights cancelled and flooding in both cities. In Hong Kong, the Central district received 309mm of rain in the 12 hours from 6pm on Sunday. There were 13 reports of flooding, along with 14 landslides and 45 reports of fallen trees. The Post's Yves Sieur and Edmond So along with photographers from Imaginechina, Reuters, Associated Press and Agence France-Presse captured the impact.
